Q: Do I need a passport to attend La Raiz?
A: Yes, a valid passport is required to travel to/from Costa Rica.
Q: Does Costa Rica require a negative Covid test to enter?
A: No, there are currently no testing requirements to enter Costa Rica.
Q: Do I need a negative Covid test to re-enter the U.S.?
A: Yes. Testing will be done on-site within 48 hours of your departure from CR and is included.
Q: Does Costa Rica have additional travel requirements?
A: Yes. Traveler's insurance is required at about $5 per day. Also, travelers are required to submit an epidemiological survey prior to entry (links available below).
Q: Is Costa Rica a safe place to travel?
A: Yes, Costa Rica is an extremely safe and welcoming country in which to travel.
Q: What sort of weather should I plan for?
A: During June, you can expect warm, tropical weather with intermittent rain. Light clothing, rain jackets and comfortable, easily drying materials are highly recommended.
Q: Where exactly in Costa Rica is La Raiz taking place?
A: La Raiz is being hosted in the Guanacaste Province, near Playa Avellana. The nearest airport is LIR (Daniel Oduber Quirós International Airport).

Dr. Marina Buksov
Marina Buksov is a registered Doctor of Pharmacy, Health Coach, Clinical Herbalist, and lifelong learner of the Healing Arts. She is the creator of Start Your Holistic Herbal Practice course mentoring other healthcare professionals in clinical herbal as well as business skills. She is a functional medicine pharmacist as part of PharmToTable telehealth platform.
Marina also offers educational webinars with Radicle Herbs and is a wellness writer for Jejune Magazine. Marina uses her multidisciplinary background to educate patients about the least invasive and most natural methods for healing the spirit-body-mind. Her truly holistic approach helps women embody the best versions of themselves and lovingly celebrate the skin they’re in.
When she is not studying, Marina likes to dance, paint, and tinker with various concoctions (tea blends, meals, DIY projects). She lives with her husband, toddler and two mischievous kitties in NYC.
Dr. Jenna W. Clack
Jenna W. Clack gained her Doctorate of Pharmacy from the University of the Incarnate Word (San Antonio, TX) and soon after completed her advanced fellowship in Anti-Aging, Metabolic & Functional Medicine.
Jenna prides herself on finding new and innovative ways to naturally help the human body achieve neurohormonal homeostasis. Using scientific tools and through an advanced understanding of epigenetics, hormonal pathways, methylation, detoxification, and metabolic & functional therapies Jenna serves synergistically in every action entertained.
Currently, Jenna and her family of five reside in southern Costa Rica, where they own/operate ESN, a company focused on holistic healing and mental wellness. Here, Jenna has been able to apply her advanced wellness education to the realms of plant medicine, alternative treatments, and a myriad of other holistic therapies.
